It closes with some success the peanut project

Peanut Project, implemented by the CERDET in 6 rural communities of O'Connor province, Tarija department.

The Center for Regional Studies of Tarija (CERDET) quite successfully been implemented and completed the project "Construction of a model agricultural production development in the communities Peanut Production of O'Connor province," which lasted 8 months financed by the Swiss Cooperation SDC, through Continuous Innovation Programme (CIP) and the Network of Productive Sector Support (RASP) of Tarija, which involved six communities: Chiquiaca North Chiquiaca Center, Middle Valley, Taquillos, Saladito North Central and Saladin. Benefiting a total of 93 families directly, and about 2370 families indirectly.

The main results were:
Formation of the PLATFORM CORN AND PEANUTS O'CONNOR OF THE PROVINCE.

Development of the Statutes and Internal Regulations, with a directory
democratically possessed by the general membership.

Signs a letter of Intentions between: Corn and Peanut Platform,
H. Municipality of Entre Rios, CERDET, to support the realization
project "Building a productive development model
agricultural production in the Peanut O'Connor communities of the Province. "
Over 70% of producers have new varieties of peanuts.
Over 50% of eligible producers, the development model adopted
productive agroecological approach.

Two teams and / or implements for the cultivation of peanuts, validated by the
eligible producers.

These results were achieved thanks to the activities implemented as community meetings, technical advice, training workshops for producers and promoters, delivery of supplies, materials and equipment, preparations of different wines with agroecological approach, demonstration farm implement, support for the organization platform including corn, and peanuts.
